I love Chambar! For those of you who did not know about Chambar then put it on one of your places to visit! Chambar means “TO PLAY” and the ambiance inside is as amazing as the food.

Last night we took Kim’s parent’s who were celebrating their 43rd wedding anniversary. Just entering the door of this incredible place puts you in a good mood and when the first round of delicious belgium beers arrive along with the scrumptious appetizers your hooked.

My favourite is the Lamb. It comes Moroccan style and is literally falling off the bone. Kim and her mom had the Char and the presentation of this dish is just awesome!

We topped it all off with an incredible dessert they put together for Kim’s parents with a sampler of belgium chocolate, a pear custard, pistachio ice cream and some other treats. They shared of course and it was gone in an instant!

If your looking for a place to celebrate or engage with someone special or just a wicked place to enjoy amazing food before the hockey game then check out Chambar at 560 Beatty.
Oh yeah the place next door Cafe Medina has the best Belgium Waffles and Brunch! Check it all out!!!

What will they think of next?
The New Refugium ( Mens) and Radiance (Womens) Jackets from Mountain Hardwear start out as regular Mountain Hardwear Jackets. They are bombproof, super comfy and techy.

Where they leave everyone else in the dust is the Ardica Heating System Interface which is right in the jacket. You know how awesome heated seats are in a car, imagine having that feeling where ever you go in the mountains!

The Ardica System is as simple as placing the neoprene battery into the jacket and charging it up. The system takes about 3 hours to charge fully and then you have 8 hours of heat at the low setting and around 3 hours at the high setting. I find the medium setting perfect and remember you don’t need it all the time and even when it is shut off your a still nice and toasty warm.

The system will also charge ipods, cameras and other devises while your out an about. Amazing!
I am looking forward to using this jacket while snowmobiling, backcountry and front country skiing and just about every other place I go. If your looking for the ultimate warm jacket this winter then check out this product. It will blow your socks off.

Remember to also check out the new Buga Thermo Boots from Columbia!

Really I am spoiled, however I don’t think I am a brat but the bike just added to my quiver is one of the coolest and nicest put together bikes I have ever owned!

When I was in Maui over the last month, the one thing I missed was getting out for bike rides. My good friend Ingrid loaned me her road bike for a day and I was just pumped. It taught me to never go back without my road bike!

The Marin Highway One is actually a hybrid bike over a traditional road bike. Since I retired from full time racing I have not been out on the road. I really do miss it and since I am not racing I do not need a full on race machine. This bike is the perfect choice!

This Highway One is super light due to its rad all carbon frame and fork. It is also littered with Shimano Components so you know it will never let me down and the carbon flat bar allows me to enjoy the ride and see whats going on around me.
I love it…thanks Marin for making such a gucci ride! Little D
