Safety in the Backcountry

by noronaadmin

With recent avalanches and deaths in the backcountry there is a lot of banter of non-backcountry users to shut down the backcountry. Most of them have no clue or understanding of how impossible that would be or how that is just not the answer.

As with every sport their are a few people who ruin it for the majority of people who use the backcountry every day with out incident. The only answer is more education and better funding of programs like AdventureSmart and the Canadian Avalanche Association!

I am so passionate about playing in the backcountry, so here is my part to remind everyone how to do it safely! See ya out there!
