The Motorcycle Show!

by noronaadmin

Well what can I say even though it is the middle of winter it is hard not to think about sunny warm days and adventuring out on the beautiful dirt trails of British Columbia!

I know, the sledding is so good right now with epic powder and tons of snow but the sounds and warmth of summer are just around the corner and the annual Motorcycle Show at the Abbostford Tradex Center proves it!

I dropped by to help out at the GA CheckPoint Yamaha booth where there was a flurry of people checking out the 2011 dirt bikes. I got a nice sneak peek at my new 2011 Yamaha YZF250….ahhh I just can’t wait!

GA CheckPoint Yamaha and Yamaha have the biggest booth at the show to show off all their amazing stuff. Scooters, Quads, Road Bikes and my personal favourite dirt bikes.

On my rounds at the show I ran into Steve Vander Helm of Scorpion Racing. Steve makes the best protection for your bike and chances are you are using his skid plates, rad protectors or race braces for whatever bike you ride.

Next up I passed by Bob Clark and his brother and Ted Blow showing off the latest and greatest in trials bikes…yeah Kim and I have got to add those to our quiver. Is there such a thing as too many toys? Nahhh

It was also great to run into Chris Loos who helps me out with MotoVan and their awesome lines of Motul Oil and other great products!

On my way out I ran into my good friend Rene Cormier who spent 5 years riding his BMW 650 around the world – The Real Long Way Around! He was showing his new book and the trips that he now runs in Africa. Put one of these amazing trips on your bucket list! Rene is an amazing adventurer and you just have to check out his booth for some great stories!

Well this year Motorcycle show is awesome and there are a ton of things going on. Don’t forget to visit the Fraser valley Dirt Riders Booth too and sign up for their club. They do tons of cool things all season long and they have a great group of people.

Check it all out Thursday through Sunday at the Abbostford Tradex Center. Have fun!
