Hello all,
Well I hope everyone had a well-deserved break and a wonderful holiday spending
it with family and friends. Kim and I had an amazing holiday with
our families and enjoyed all the snow we received. I hope 2009 brings all your
greatest dreams to reality!
Over the holidays we have been getting out into the backcountry sledding and
skiing and it has been deep. This year we have seen a very tough
snowpack and unfortunately we have seen some tragic incidents with many people
losing their lives. The backcountry always has and always will be a place that
has inherent risks. We all need to improve are skills every year to lessen these
risks. My condolences go out to all the victims and families who have lost loved
ones through this last month.
The sledding has been incredible and I have been getting out tons on my new rev-xp
from Greater Vancouver Powersports. It has been so deep and we have been playing
in the low risk meadows where the snow has been 3- 4 feet deep. Please check
out my latest video on one of our sledding days here.

We have held off skiing due to the weak snow pack but conditions are improving
and over the holidays we did manage to sneak in some amazing days. Here is a
cool video that any skier/snowboarder will enjoy.

As you can see I have been busy making video’s using my little Canon SD
1000 camera and will continue to do so all season as I get out and enjoy the
wild outdoors with all my friends.
This weekend I will be in Mount Washington on Vancouver Island to MC the Yeti
Snow Show Series Race. I will be MCing all 4 races in the series and look forward
to pumping up the competitors as they hammer through the 5 and 10 kilometer course.
NoronaLife.com is also going full steam with lots of teambuilding events, including
more work with the Sauder School of Business at UBC and a group I am taking
into Tyax Lodge for some ice fishing, snowmobiling and heli-snowshoeing. It should
be an amazing trip.
Remember to get out and enjoy winter but do it safely!
